Who are WomenCan and The Placement Circle?

We founded WomenCAN on 11 February 2019.  It is a social enterprise that offers facilities maintenance services delivered by  tradeswomen to places where vulnerable women live.  WomenCAN supports The Placement Circle financially and by giving women employment opportunities.

The Placement Circle was incorporated on 24 August 2019 and awarded charitable status by the ACNC.  It was formed for the purpose of linking communities of peer supported women to place based vocational education and onto employment.

The model was designed in response to the growing numbers of women, particularly older women, who found themselves at risk of homelessness as they approached their later years.  Our belief is that if women can access education and employment including financial literacy training, they will be better equipped to make informed choices about their life decisions

Supported by WomenCAN Australasia Ltd (ABN: 63 636 406 972) trading as The Placement Circle.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the country and their continuing connection to land, sea and community.

We pay our respects to them, their cultures and their elders, past, present and to their emerging leaders.
